Description

There are times when I’m afraid to say that it is a Blessing and with God’s Grace that you are reading this issue of arise Magazine because I say it with every issue. Believe it is the truth…it is very challenging not only as a young magazine but a God-rooted magazine to reach the milestones necessary to get us where we are.

This issue is jam-packed with insight, advice and encouragement by women from different backgrounds and in different sectors. Fun fact, 99% of them have authored a book or two.

The cover feature will surprise you. Lihle has pursued her heart’s passions and is at a place many would not expect. She carries two degrees, is the owner of two businesses, is an author and is a former TV presenter making the best of every opportunity. I believe she will inspire both our younger and mature readers.

In this issue, there’s loads to empower and encourage us to always put our best foot forward. We touch on finances, mothering, entrepreneurship and overall well-being. Our previous cover girl, Chantell Davis, encourages us to accept the purification process as a necessary one towards building Godly character, we also explore the dangers of entrepreneurship and the traps in the blind spot of entrepreneurs.

On a personal level, this issue comes after a grueling few months following the Lord’s instructions to me at the beginning of the year to ‘Be Still’ and I misunderstood Him and created my narrative of what He meant. What followed were weeks of turmoil, depression, anxiety and heartache. It’s a wonder that I’m here doing this but I can confirm that it is Faith that got me through each day.

The point I’m trying to bring home is this:

  • may we always take God at His Word. His Word is most of the time clear and direct and will hardly speak to you in French when you are Zulu speaking.
  • When the ground beneath our feet shakes and trembles and the world seems to be closing in on you, remain in God and hold on to what Faith has taught you.
  • Always Believe and Trust that God will redeem, save, help, favour and provide for you. Know that He is always moving and shifting in your favour even when you do not see it.
  • Always give it one more hour, one more day, one more night, one more minute before you give up or give in. Should you decide to give up or give in, please let it be in and up to the Lord.

I’m now consciously and intentionally practicing and operating from Stillness and the rewards are Blessings and unimaginable favour.

If this interests you, then please enjoy the read. You may a copy from Checkers and Pick n Pay if you prefer a printed copy. Please feel free to contact us…we love to hear from you: arise@arisemagz.com

To all the women and brands featured, thank you for your support and Grace. This issue is also because of you.

Once again, may this issue Bless you the same way working on it has Blessed me.
